Miles for Maddog 2023

On Saturday, June 24th, was the 3rd annual Miles For Maddog race in honor of donor and transplant recipients as well as in memory of Maddie "Maddog" Grobmeier who passed in 2019. Maddie had passed away unexpectedly from an asthma attak the day after her 18th birthday and had made the selfless decision prior to become a donor. Her amazing parents, Cyndi and Frank went on to create the Maddog foundation to keep her memory alive and help spread awareness for organ donoation. Proceeds went to fund the Maddog foundation's efforts to educate teens and young adults about the life saving need to register as organ and tissue donors.Claudia(Jaime's mom) had the honor of holding the Done Vida flag for the event. At the beginning of the race they announced that Governor JB Pritzker proclaimed June 24th 2023 as Organ Donation Celebration Day in the state of Illinois.
