Cisco Kid was a friend of mine

Jaime was a friend to so many. It was hard not to get caught up in his infectious laugh and goofy sense of humor. You'd often find him surrounded by his best friends, joking around and having drinks out in his garage or shouting into his gaming headset during an intense game with his online friends. Those that were lucky enough to really know him, loved him. One of his best friends, Mollie, had this to share...

"Jaime. So much comes to my mind when I hear his name. His friendship was unconditional, just like his love. Being blessed enough to call him my friend for decades is one of the simplests, purests, humbling friendships I've had the pleasure of having. Jaime lived in the moment, a spontaneous combustion of fun, ready to ride at dawn, no matter the consequences, we knew we would have fun. He loved, lived and laughed so fiercely and his presence was always felt. His absence is unbearable some days. He truly was a remarkable human, too kind for this world."

The effect he had even touched those who never had the honor of meeting him in person but instead over a headset playing a game on Xbox. One of Jaime's favorite pastimes was to get on Xbox and play games online with other players from across the U.S. Even though none of them had ever met in person, they soon developed a close bond that they would never forget. One of those friends shared a beautiful sentiment on a public forum to vent about the loss they felt and to help spread compassion and awareness of depression.

"Today we lost one of our members. There are so many things I wish I could say to him right now. I wish I could invite him over for a beer or something just to talk about it or ask him if he was alright. What I wouldn't give to play one more game with my bro. Please, if you do nothing else today, tell your squad that you love them."

Beautiful words from people that knew Jaime and valued his presence and continue to feel the impact of his loss. As his friend mentioned above, if there is nothing else you do today, tell the people in your life that you love them. You never know the battle they may be facing.
